Cast of Off Campus: Meet the Actors Behind the Popular College Romance Series
College romance stories often become memorable because of the characters, not just the love stories. That is part of the appeal of the Cast of Off Campus, the talented ensemble bringing Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels to the screen. Set at Briar University, the Prime Video series follows a group of college students whose lives revolve around hockey, friendship, music, and relationships that rarely go according to plan.
The first season introduces viewers to Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, two people who seem to have little in common but gradually develop a meaningful connection. Their story sets the tone for the series, while the people around them bring their own personalities and relationship problems into the mix. With familiar faces returning and new characters joining Season 2, there is plenty to learn about the actors behind the show.
What Is Off Campus About?
Off Campus is a romantic drama based on the book series by Elle Kennedy. The story takes place at Briar University, where an elite ice hockey team becomes the center of a wider circle of friendships and romantic relationships. The characters are dealing with more than college assignments and sporting competitions. They must also make difficult decisions about love, family, personal ambitions, and their futures.
Season 1 adapts the story of Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham. Hannah is a music student who would rather concentrate on her own interests than become involved in the hockey crowd. Garrett, meanwhile, is a talented athlete who needs help with his grades. When they agree to help each other, their arrangement takes an unexpected turn. What starts as a practical deal slowly develops into a romance that challenges both characters.
Main Cast of Off Campus: Actors and Characters
1. Ella Bright as Hannah Wells
Ella Bright plays Hannah Wells, a music student whose quiet determination makes her an interesting lead. Hannah has her own ambitions and does not automatically fall for the popularity surrounding Briar University’s hockey players. She wants to be taken seriously for who she is, rather than judged by her appearance or the people she spends time with.
Her connection with Garrett develops naturally as they spend more time together. Hannah begins to see that the confident athlete has a more complicated side, while Garrett learns to understand her feelings and priorities. Bright’s performance helps give the romance an emotional center. Hannah is not simply a character waiting for love; she is a young woman learning to trust herself and decide what she really wants.
2. Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham
Belmont Cameli portrays Garrett Graham, Briar University’s star hockey player. Garrett is confident, athletic, and used to attracting attention. However, his reputation does not tell the whole story. He also has academic responsibilities and personal challenges that make him more complicated than the typical college sports star.
Garrett’s deal with Hannah gives them a reason to spend time together, but neither expects their arrangement to become so personal. As their feelings change, Garrett must learn that a relationship requires more than charm or attraction. Cameli brings both confidence and vulnerability to the character, helping audiences understand why Hannah begins to see him differently. Their chemistry is central to the first season.
3. Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes
Mika Abdalla plays Allie Hayes, Hannah’s close friend and an important part of the Briar University group. Allie offers Hannah support when relationships become confusing, but she also has her own feelings and decisions to work through. Her character helps show how friendship can be a source of comfort during uncertain periods of life.
Allie becomes especially important in the second season, which shifts its main romantic focus to her relationship with Dean Di Laurentis. This development gives Abdalla more room to explore the character beyond her role as Hannah’s friend. Viewers can expect Allie’s personal choices and relationship with Dean to become a larger part of the story as the series continues.
4. Antonio Cipriano as John Logan
Antonio Cipriano portrays John Logan, one of Garrett’s hockey teammates. Logan is part of the close friendship group that gives the show much of its college atmosphere. The players share jokes, support one another, and deal with problems that go beyond what happens during a game.
Logan also has a larger place in the original book series, which follows different couples within the same community. That connection makes him an interesting character to watch as the television adaptation develops. Rather than remaining only a teammate in Garrett’s story, Logan has the potential to become the center of his own romantic storyline.
5. Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker
Jalen Thomas Brooks plays John Tucker, another member of the Briar hockey team. Tucker helps round out the group of athletes surrounding Garrett and Logan. His presence adds to the feeling that these characters have a life together outside the main romance.
The hockey team’s friendships are an important part of the series because they create a believable social world for the characters. College life involves shared experiences, disagreements, competition, and the people who stand beside you when things become difficult. Tucker contributes to that wider picture, making the group feel more like a community than a collection of supporting roles.
6. Josh Heuston as Justin Kohl
Josh Heuston portrays Justin Kohl, a character who adds another layer to Hannah’s romantic storyline. His presence creates additional tension as Hannah tries to understand her own feelings and decide what she wants from a relationship. This makes him relevant to the first season, even though the central romance remains focused on Hannah and Garrett.
Heuston is also known for his work in Dune: Prophecy. His role in Off Campus gives viewers another personality to consider as the relationships develop. Justin’s place in the story helps demonstrate that romantic decisions are rarely simple, particularly when attraction, expectations, and genuine emotional connections become difficult to separate.
7. Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis
Stephen Kalyn plays Dean Di Laurentis, a hockey player whose story becomes more important in Season 2. Dean is part of Garrett’s circle, but his own relationships and personality give him a distinct role in the larger narrative. His character is particularly interesting to readers familiar with Elle Kennedy’s novels.
The upcoming season focuses on Dean and Allie, drawing from the book The Score. This shift allows the series to explore a different relationship while keeping the same university and friendship group. Dean’s story offers opportunities to look at attraction, emotional honesty, and the challenges that come with taking a relationship seriously.
8. Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell
Khobe Clarke portrays Beau Maxwell, another member of the show’s wider ensemble. His character contributes to the college and hockey environment surrounding the main couple. Although Beau is not at the center of the first season’s romance, supporting characters like him help create the sense of a busy university filled with different personalities.
The wider group matters because the series is designed around interconnected stories. Friends influence one another’s choices, and experiences that seem minor at first can become more meaningful later. Beau’s place in the ensemble helps the show maintain that larger perspective instead of focusing exclusively on Hannah and Garrett.
9. Steve Howey as Phil Graham
Steve Howey plays Phil Graham, Garrett’s father. His role introduces a family perspective into the series and provides additional context for understanding Garrett’s background. Relationships with parents can shape the way young adults approach trust, confidence, and difficult decisions, making Phil an important part of Garrett’s personal story.
Howey is well known for playing Kevin Ball in Shameless. His experience brings a different energy to the ensemble, particularly when the story moves beyond campus life. Phil’s character helps remind viewers that the challenges faced by college students do not disappear when they leave home. Family history can continue to influence their choices long after they arrive at university.
New Cast Members Joining Off Campus Season 2
Season 2 introduces India Fowler as Grace Ivers, Phillipa Soo as Scarlett, and Shay Rudolph as Summer Di Laurentis. These new characters expand the world of Briar University and prepare the series for its next romantic storyline. Grace is connected to John Logan, while Summer is Dean’s sister, giving the new season more opportunities to explore relationships and family connections.
The change in focus does not mean Hannah and Garrett disappear from the story. The series is built around a connected group of characters, so familiar faces can remain involved while another couple takes the lead. This approach follows the structure of Kennedy’s books and allows the show to introduce new conflicts without losing the relationships that made the first season memorable.
Why the Cast of Off Campus Has Attracted Attention
The Cast of Off Campus works because the characters have different personalities and reasons for making the choices they do. Hannah and Garrett provide the central romance, while Allie, Dean, Logan, Tucker, and the other supporting characters give the university a broader social life. Family relationships add another dimension, keeping the story from becoming only a series of romantic moments.
The source material also gives the adaptation room to grow. Each book explores a different couple while keeping the same wider community, making it possible for future seasons to introduce new leads. For viewers, this means the series can continue exploring love, friendship, and growing up without starting from scratch every time the central relationship changes.
